What's a TRIKKE!?
A Trikke (pronounced "trike") is a 3-wheel or "3-point" human-powered carving vehicle - often referred to as a 3-wheel scooter. However, unlike a scooter, a Trikke requires absolutely no pushing, no pedaling, and does not need to be motorized or battery powered in any way! Trikke carving vehicles run entirely on HUMAN power, propelled simply by angular momentum generated from leaning and turning!
What can you do on a Trikke?
LOTS of stuff! On a Trikke, you're not limited to a boring straight line, you don't have to deal with an uncomfortable bike seat, and you are not limited to any one riding style. Whether you're using it for fun, to commute, for freestyle, exercise, or all of the above - there is a Trikke carving vehicle available!
Common Lingo:
If you wanna talk Trikke, you gotta learn the lingo! Starting from biggest to smallest, here are some of the common names you'll see and hear when referring to Trikke Carving Vehicles:

# Electric Trikke Kit: E-Kit, Elekktric, Trikke E-Kit, E-Trikke (this is an electric kit that mounts on adult-model Trikkes)
Common Questions:
The most common question we receive has to do with Trikkes being able to climb hills. Can it be done? YES! In fact, they've been charted to conquer grades of 15% to 20%! Check out our video and riding tips sections for more information on hill climbing technique.
Another common question concerns the width required to propel a Trikke forward. It surprises many to find that it actually takes no more than the width of the two rear wheels to propel a Trikke forward! Sure, a wide-open smooth road with no cars in sight might be the ideal playground for someone really wanting to carve it up - but when space is limited, a simple sidewalk is more than plenty!
"I'm too OLD!"
Age and health is another common concern for many people. The great thing about Trikke, however, is it's a fun, easy, comfortable, NO-IMPACT recreational sport that anyone can do - and from experience, this even includes lower-limb amputees! In fact, the average rider age on TrikkeTalk.com is between 40 and 70! So if you are concerned about your age - remember, age is nothing more than a state of mind. Obviously if you have health concerns, we suggest you consult with a doctor before starting any new exercise routine. We have had our own experience with back injuries (read here) and can truly vouch for the Trikke's ability to strengthen and heal. It requires NO twisting, NO awkward hunching or peddling, NO excessive bending of joints, and targets important key core muscle groups as you ride!
